Congruent creations
Chris Eberhardt has been melting glass for over 10 years. Over that time he has developed a unique style all his own. Intricate pendants and his trademark scribble tech and bottle shapes can be found all over his workstation as well as his social media pages. Chris is one of the original artists here at Skylab. When he’s not in the studio you can find him crossing the country on he road or spending time with his cat Bridget!
BUNK GLASS
Tommy Bunkers found his passion for glass art while taking a beginner class here at Skylab about 5 years ago! Since then, he’s gone on to become a dedicated artist and an instructor of those very classes. He has a passion for outer space and demonstrates that through the work he creates on the torch!
KSICKglass
Alex Kasick began his glass art career working soft glass at Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Over the last few years, he has attended several workshops and classes led by world renown artists that can be credited with his deep knowledge of the way glass can be melted and manipulated. This is coincidentally how he has also developed amazing teaching skills that he has put to work here at Skylab Glass Arts since our opening.
Alternative Glass
Khristian Hautman is a Mexican-American glass artist born in Tuscon, Arizona. His work is a product of connections to his dual cultures and evergoing travels, and the people who make them up. Using inspiration from the international and cross-country trips he began taking at a young age, he started creating ink and aerosol print pieces where he defined the notably abstract, exaggerated faces seen in his work today — a semblance of the many people he’s met on his journeys. Khristian was then introduced to glassblowing and finds the craft allows him to pay tribute to his family while giving back to the many people he's crossed paths with, whether it was by mountain hitchhiking or train riding. Above all, being on the torch allows him to visualize how he goes through everyday life; inspired by the instantaneous beauty of the present moment.
Shabbadoo Glass
Tom Manthis began his career at Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s glass art department in 2012. He became one of the original artists at Skylab Glass Arts in 2017 and has continued his career here ever since. Hailing from Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Tom brings forth intricate and highly involved patterns across all of his work.
